Veil Runner

Veil Runner

3rd-level Veil Runner feature

Veil Runners are rogues who have learned to navigate the Mist Corridors—the fog-shrouded passages where reality is thin and distant locations connect. They slip between Domains, smuggle contraband through impossible routes, and use the Veil's instability to their advantage. This is extremely dangerous work, but the rewards—and the reputation—are worth the risk.

Veil Walking

Starting at 3rd level, you've learned to sense and navigate the Mist Corridors. You have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks made to navigate or find Mist Corridors. Additionally, you can spend 10 minutes meditating to sense whether there's a Mist Corridor within 1 mile of your current location (DM's discretion).

Phase Step

At 3rd level, you can briefly slip partially out of phase with reality. As a bonus action, you can teleport up to 15 feet to an unoccupied space you can see. If you use this feature immediately before making an attack, you have advantage on that attack roll.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.

Mist Cloak

At 9th level, you can wrap yourself in Veil energy. As a bonus action, you become heavily obscured to all creatures more than 5 feet away from you until the start of your next turn. This effect ends early if you attack or cast a spell.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.

Dimensional Dodge

At 13th level, your connection to the Veil allows you to avoid danger. When you are hit by an attack, you can use your reaction to phase partially out of reality, gaining resistance to all damage from that attack.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier (minimum of once), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Master of the Veil

At 17th level, you've achieved mastery over dimensional travel. You can cast misty step at will, without expending a spell slot. Additionally, once per long rest, you can cast dimension door without expending a spell slot.

When you use your Phase Step feature, you can bring one willing creature of your size or smaller with you.
