The Sun God, Lord of Light, The Daystar (Silent)
Before the Unveiling: Solarius was the chief deity of a major pantheon—god of the sun, light, truth, and righteous authority. Millions worshipped him. His temples were vast, his Clerics powerful and numerous.
Now: Complete silence. The sun still rises (barely, through the ash), but Solarius doesn't answer prayers. His temples are mostly abandoned, though some Clerics still maintain them. Prayers to him sometimes grant power, but there's no guidance, no presence, no certainty.
Cleric Domains: Light, Life, Order
Philosophy (Before): Bring light to darkness. Speak truth. Uphold justice. Protect the innocent. Lead with righteousness.
Followers: The Remnant Orders (holdouts clinging to old faith), those desperate for pre-Unveiling stability, elderly Clerics who remember when gods answered
Symbols: Rising sun, golden rays, blazing torches
Current Rituals: Same as before, but with an undercurrent of grief and doubt. Every prayer is a question: Are you there? Are you listening? Are you dead?
Roleplaying a Follower:
- You cling to old faith despite silence
- You might rationalize the silence (test of faith, divine plan)
- You struggle with doubt constantly
- You mourn what was lost
- You still receive divine power but don't know why
