That Which Almost Became, The Divine Corpse, The Failed Ascension
Nature: The Stillborn God is unique among the Old Ones—it's dead, or perhaps never fully existed. It's the corpse of an entity that tried to become divine but failed during the Unveiling. Its remnants still hold power, but it's the power of death, failure, and aborted potential.
Appearance: Vast corpse-like forms, stillborn possibilities, might-have-beens given form. Followers see visions of dead gods, divine flesh rotting in the void, holy power leaking from cosmic wounds.
Cleric Domains: Death, Grave, Twilight
Philosophy: Divinity failed. Gods are dead. But in death, there is power. We are the inheritors of failed ascension. We are the children of the Stillborn.
Followers: Nihilistic Clerics, those who believe the gods are truly dead, mourners of lost divinity, those who worship failure itself
Symbols: Dead embryos, broken halos, shattered divine symbols, holy corpses
Rituals: Funerary rites for gods, prayers to the dead divine, ceremonies of mourning and acceptance
Personality (for Warlocks): The Stillborn God doesn't communicate—it leaks. Warlocks receive fragmented visions of what might have been, divine failure, and cosmic stillbirth. They carry the weight of dead potential.
