- Casting Time: 1 action
- Range: 120 feet
- Components: V, S
- Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute
- Classes: Warlock
You draw the gaze of an Old One to a target you can see within range. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the target is overwhelmed by the attention of something vast and incomprehensible. It is incapacitated for the duration and takes 4d10 psychic damage at the start of each of its turns. On a successful save, the target takes half the initial damage and can act normally, though it is frightened of you for the duration.
At the end of each of the target's turns, it can repeat the saving throw, ending the effect on a success.
Warning: Casting this spell draws actual attention from beyond the Veil. The DM may rule that an Old One or similar entity becomes aware of you. This typically has no immediate effect but may have consequences later.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 8th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 7th.
