Temporal Echo

  • Casting Time: 1 action
  • Range: Self
  • Components: V, S, M (a gear from a broken clock)
  • Duration: Instantaneous
  • Classes: Wizard

You glimpse alternate timelines and potential futures. Choose one of the following effects:

  • Rewind: You can rewind time by up to 1 minute. Everything returns to the state it was 1 minute ago, except you retain all knowledge of what occurred. Creatures don't remember the rewound time unless they succeed on a DC 18 Intelligence saving throw.
  • Foresight: You glimpse the next 10 minutes. The DM describes what will likely happen during that time. This isn't guaranteed—choices made by you or others can alter the outcome.
  • Echo: You create a temporal duplicate of yourself that exists for 1 minute. The duplicate acts on your turn, has your statistics, and can take actions. It disappears when it drops to 0 hit points or when the spell ends. Damage dealt to the duplicate isn't dealt to you, but resources expended by the duplicate (spell slots, abilities) are expended for you as well.

After casting this spell, you must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, you are stunned for 1 minute as your mind struggles to process the temporal shift.
