You unleash a beam of crackling technological energy in a 30-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 5d6 lightning damage. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage.

Metal objects in the line glow red-hot and any creature wearing metal armor has disadvantage on the saving throw.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 3rd.
